It may not be clear that Musk is actually talking about homelessness and his complaint isn’t the lack of basic humane support to get the homeless housed but rather expresing deep hatred against the homeless.

Even if Musk’s lie was true, these people (and yes, they are human beings) would still be outdoors and therefore still homeless.
60% of the homeless have at least one job, many have two or three. The homeless are mostly the working poor.
26% of the homeless abuse drugs, with the abuse of drugs almost always starting after becoming homeless as a response to the horrific conditions created by billionaire oligarchs and capitalism.

Elon Musk’s lies against the homeless out of Elon Musk’s hatred of the homeless shows why capitalism is at its essence about doing horrific evil against the weakest, not vunerable members of society.

Elon Musk lies about the homeless in much the same manner that Adolf Hitler did to kickstart the Holocaust.
Elon Musk appeared on Tucker Carlson’s show on X 8 Oct 2024 and said abou the homeless in San Francisco, “Homeless is a misnomer, it implies that someone got a little bit behind on their mortgage, and if you just gave them a job, they’d be back on their feet. What you actually have are violent, drug zombies with dead eyes and needles and human feces on the street.”
Elon Musk on 30 Aug 2023 “They want war? Let’s give it to them. We cannot let these snakes win or San Francisco will end up like Detroit.” Musk is referring to the law firm Latham & Watkins, LLP, and their lawsuit against San Francisco for conducting homeless sweeps without offering adequate shelter.
