Technically it can still be a crime even though the person killed was a criminal who ordered the deaths of more than 6,000 Americans a year.

We need a jury made up of people who honestly want to hear the evidence to determine if Luigi Mangione is a criminal or a hero because they do not yet know the answer. That would be a fair trial.
I am afraid that the same nation that conducted a mass execution of innocent Dakota (because of Abraham Lincoln’s racist Christian bigotry) wants to murder Luigi Mangione on behalf of the billionaire oligarchs.
The Biden administration could have prevented the killing of Brian Thompson (CEO of UnitedHealthcare) by simply prosecuting the man and sentencing him to life in prsion without the possibility of parole (I do not believe in the death penalty or imprisonment at hard labor).
