J.K. Rowling misstates the facts to “translate” a case.
The person in this case was sentenced to jail for the violent acts, which is the literal opposite of Elon Musk’s claim of a “get out of jail free card”.
Musk is also wrong about the many cases. Transpeople commit crimes at a lower rate than the general population and trans people are four times as likely to victims of violent crimes than the general population specifically because of the kind of hate speech that Elon Musk and other white supremacists keep promoting on behalf of Hitler’s long discredited scientific racism.

Anthony Fauci was the 5th Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the 2nd Chief Medical Advisor to the President, both political appointments. Politcal appointment does not make anyone the top expert in any field.
Both of these tweets generated significant backlash. Musk shouldn’t “mock and promote hate toward already marginalized and at-risk-of-violence members of the LGBTQ+ community,”
